A fourth teenager is to appear in court charged with murder over the death of a 17-year-old boy in a stabbing near a bus station, police have said.

Bennett Ndenkeh, 18, of Midland Road, Bedford, was arrested on Saturday over the death of Thomas Taylor and charged with the teenager’s murder on Sunday, Bedfordshire Police said.

Three other teenagers – Ahmed Adam, 18, of Mardale Close, Kempston, Bedford, and two males aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons – were arrested on Friday.

They were charged with murder on Saturday, the force previously said.

All four have all been remanded in custody and will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Taylor was attacked at 5.50pm on Wednesday as he walked along Greenhill Street, close to Bedford bus station, officers said.

The Bedford Academy student was taken to hospital with serious injuries but was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 16-year-old boy, who was also arrested on Saturday, has been released on bail as inquiries continue.
