PROFITEER (12.35 Musselburgh, nap)
Tim Easterby’s three-year-old loves boggy ground and has been a revelation this autumn with back-to-back wins at Pontefract.
He saves his best for this distance and did really well to come from just off the pace to grab the winner right on the line. The handicapper has been fair with a 3lb rise in the weights and this is a fair drop in class from that last success.
LAURA BAY (2.43 Nottingham, nb)
She is another who likes to get her toe in and has progressed nicely for her under-rated trainer David Menuisier.
She went through testing ground to score at Sandown in July and came back from a break to be beaten on the nod at Leicester in September. She’s had another little rest since then and looks a few steps ahead of the handicapper again.
SPIRIT LEAD ME (4.30 Kempton, treble)
Needed a few runs to get the hang of things but the penny seems to have dropped now. He had four lengths in hand when scoring at Wolver after getting off the mark here. There’s more to come.
REEL HER IN (3.42 Musselburgh)
Has won her past two outings around here by a neck. That means the handicapper hasn’t over-reacted and she’s just 2lb higher than a solid win over this trip 23 days ago. She can land the hat-trick under Paul Mulrennan.

Zinchenko reveals ‘s***’ Champions League final display left him in tears with Arsenal star not eating for two days
EVERY day at Arsenal training Oleksandr Zinchenko gets a reminder of the worst day of his career.
It is the painful moment he feels a Champions League trophy slipped out of his hands — and the Ukrainian still blames himself for it.

His Manchester City side lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the Covid-hit 2021 final in Porto and Zinchenko said: “No two ways about it. I was s**t.”
The full-back claimed he was at fault for allowing “my man” Kai Havertz a critical run on goal as the forward scored the 42nd-minute winner at the Estadio do Dragao.
He describes it as “probably the worst day in my football life” and says it left an “emotional scar” that has yet to heal.
And his former City team-mate Fernandinho often joked he was denied the chance to get an arm tattoo of the big-eared pot because of Zinchenko.
The problem is, he cannot be allowed to move on and forget about it — because he and Havertz are now pals at the Gunners.
Zinchenko, 27, said: “If I tell you now what I’m saying to him every day, you would laugh!
“It’s better that I will be quiet. Because as soon as I see him . . . my scar. I feel him.
“Jokes aside, I mean definitely, one of the most painful moments in my career so far. My wife Vlada, she remembers that day.

“The way that she is watching my games is something only the closest circle knows, how she is living these kinds of moments.
“That night, when we came back to the hotel, our families were already in our rooms.
“When I opened my door she was waiting for me, she hugged me, we were just crying for a while.
“For the next two days probably, I didn’t really eat. It was a super-tough moment.
“But thank God I had this experience which made me, for sure, much stronger.
“Also thank God that the week later we had training with the national team before the Euros. Football again saved my life. That is how it was.”
One way Zinchenko got over his ordeal was a heart-to-heart chat with Andriy Shevchenko, the Ukraine boss at the time.
He, of course, was part of AC Milan’s side that lost the 2005 Istanbul final to Liverpool on penalties despite being 3-0 up at half-time.
Pep Guardiola’s City went on to become European champions in 2023, beating Inter Milan — also in Turkey’s Ataturk Stadium — to seal an incredible Treble- winning campaign.
For the next two days probably, I didn’t really eat. It was a super-tough moment.
Oleksandr Zinchenko on Champions League final defeat
But Zinchenko, a four-time Premier League champion with City, had moved to North London at the start of that season for an initial transfer fee of £30million.
It was an attempt by boss Mikel Arteta to add experience and a winning mentality to his dressing room.
And one way for Zinchenko to erase his memory of missing out would be to win the tournament with Arsenal — who have won two of their opening three games this campaign.
Zinchenko, who hopes to play at Inter Milan in the Champions League tonight, reckons City’s dominance of English football must end soon.
He said: “It’s not just in football, you cannot carry on like this forever.
“For sure, there will be changes. Of course, the players will get old, the manager might look for another job. Something will happen.
“The dominance which they have had during the last years is incredible.
“The stats and also trophies talk for themselves. Being there, you straight away think of this winning mentality.”

USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings, Nov. 5: Former champ Brandon Moreno on the rise again at flyweight
UFC Fight Night 246 took place last weekend in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and it produced a key update in the men’s flyweight rankings.
Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno turned in a dominant performance against Amir Albazi in the main event. Moreno controlled the fight from beginning to end, only losing one round on one judge’s scorecard.
Entering the week at No. 5, Moreno replaces Albazi at No. 3, who falls down one spot in this week’s rankings update.
The co-main event featured a top 10 women’s flyweight bout between No. 4 Erin Blanchfield and No. 9 Rose Namajunas. Blanchfield had to dig deep to overcome the early advantage of the former strawweight champion, but she pulled out a big win to keep her name in title contention.

Mikel Arteta gives update on Arsenal’s future plans after transfer chief Edu’s shock exit for Nottingham Forest group
MIKEL ARTETA insists Arsenal’s plans for the future “remain intact” – despite Edu’s shock departure.
The Gunners – including boss Arteta – were left stunned after the club’s Sporting Director announced his resignation on Monday.

Brazilian Edu, 46, is expected to join up with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakas as head of his expanding multi-club empire in a triple-your-money deal.
The switch has the potential to leave Arsenal vulnerable in their recruitment strategy after their recent meteoric rise under Edu and Arteta to become Prem title challengers.
But Arteta said: “The plan and the vision that starts with the ownership [Stan and Josh Kroenke] – that is very clear and very ambitious – is going to continue.
“We have a very strong leadership team with an unbelievable know-how, a real passion and great feelings for the football club. We’re not going to stop where we are at the moment.
“Then across the club, the excitement, the passion, the understanding of where we want to take this journey remains intact.”
Arteta hinted that the club are currently on the look-out for a replacement, admitting: “This means opportunities as well for somebody else to come and fulfil their role.”
Edu – an Invincibles hero who made 127 appearances from 2000 to 2005 – returned to the club in July 2019 as technical director before hiring Arteta five months later.
He was then appointed as Sporting Director in November 2022, and spoke of his long-term plans for the club just two months ago as Arteta signed a new three-year deal.

Arteta added: “Everything happened very quickly. Obviously I loved working with him, I really enjoyed being alongside him in this incredible journey.
“From day one, we’ve been together. First of all, I’m very grateful personally for everything has done for me and for the amazing work that he’s done for the football club.
“I think we both had this special chemistry working together, we really both enjoyed our roles and working together.
“I’m very blessed that he’s been part of my life in such a beautiful place that I am right now, managing this incredible club and he’s been a massive part of that.
“He’s had an amazing opportunity now to do something else in a different role and he believes that it’s the right professional move for him.
“We have to respect that and from the bottom of my heart I think everybody really feels that we want the best for him and that’s it.
“We say thank you and we have to move on because that’s the reality of our industry.”
Winger Bukayo Saka said: “We all know what Edu’s done for the club and he’s a top, top person. So first of all, we just want to wish him all the best.
“We all know what he’s done for the football club. He’s been involved in the transformation and getting us back to performing at the highest stage.
“So, we’re all grateful for him and we’re just wishing him all the best.”
Skipper Martin Odegaard is in the squad that has travelled to Milan to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night and is in contention to feature.
It would be a first Arsenal appearance since August 31 after suffering an ankle injury on international duty with Norway on September 9.
Midfielder Declan Rice has not travelled due to a foot injury, one that Arteta admits has left the Englishman unable to put his boot on.
