The SPFL says it distributed £37.9m to the 42 member clubs in its latest accounting period, an increase of 6%.
The league body’s figures show a similar percentage increase in turnover to a new high of £44.3m.
A new broadcasting deal with Sky and “other domestic and overseas broadcasting agreements” contributed to revenue.
Additionally, net gate receipts of £2.1m went to last season’s Premier Sports Cup semi-finalists Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibernian and Rangers, who won the tournament.
Celtic won the Premiership, Dundee United secured promotion by finishing top of the Championship while the League 1 and 2 titles went to Falkirk and Stenhousemuir, respectively. The Challenge Cup was won by Airdrieonians.
Celtic won the SWPL title for the first time and Rangers won the SWPL Cup.
“We’re really proud to announce record turnover and fee payments to our member clubs today as we continue to build on the strong income growth and commercial deals in recent years,” said SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster.
“Given the challenging market and economic conditions right now, these encouraging results reinforce the huge popularity of Scottish football, as well as the level of interest this generates with our broadcasters and our increasing roster of partners.”
Celtic men and Rangers women also won the Scottish Cup tournaments, which unlike the other major domestic tournaments are organised by the Scottish FA.
For the current season, the SPFL has new sponsorship and broadcasting deals in place.

Brian Sorensen: Everton boss says two ACL injuries at start of season are ‘big blow’ to WSL team
In April, a three-year project researching ACL prevention was launched in the WSL.
Sorensen said Everton had also analysed factors influencing player injuries after the club endured an injury-plagued 2023-24 season.
“We take everything into consideration and make sure, especially with this small squad, we need people healthy. That’s the aim. A big blow but nothing we can do about it,” he said.
“We have to look forward to the squad we have and keep them as healthy as we can because we can’t afford losing more.”
Everton, who travel to Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal on Sunday, have yet to score a league goal this season and sit second from bottom in the WSL table.
Despite the poor start to the 2024-25 campaign and losing Gabarro and Galli to ACL injuries, Sorensen said his squad have “handled it really well”.
“The group is quite resilient after all the injuries we had. Its not ideal but that’s the way it is in football,” he said.
“We can’t start not going 100% into everything we do, whether it’s a tackle or a duel. We have to do 100, otherwise what’s the point. We have to have that mentality as a team, and the girls agree.”
“I had a long phone conversation with Kevin,” said Tedesco.
“He has asked to skip this camp and also November, to be able to take care of his body.
“The schedule has become even busier due to the World Cup for clubs. That is why he is not there now and in November. But when it really counts – the World Cup – he will be there.”
Rodri, De Bruyne’s club team-mate, said in September that players were close to striking in protest at the increased playing schedule.
De Bruyne raised questions over his international future following a 2-0 loss to France on 9 September.
However, Tedesco says De Bruyne remains committed to playing for his country.
“He has an injury, but he is very motivated to continue with the Red Devils and to play the World Cup in 2026,” Tedesco said.
Veteran boss Steve Bruce is relishing his return to the game with Blackpool.
The 63-year-old had been out of work for almost two years before taking over at the League One club in September.
Bruce, in his 13th managerial appointment in a career that started in 1998, spoke to Mark Clemmit for BBC One’s Football Focus after four wins and a draw from his first five games as Seasiders boss.
“When I was out for nearly two years, at the end of the day I wanted and needed to do something,” he said.
“I had to have something to get me out of bed in the morning and this opportunity came along and I thought ‘why not?’”
He added: “I’ve been to South Africa and done a safari and been to places I never thought I’d go but I wasn’t just ready to pack up.
“I think you know when the time is right and for me it was ‘let’s go and do a couple more years and see where we are’.”
“I still think I’ve got something to offer and as long as you maintain the enthusiasm that you’ve got… if that goes away, I’ll know it’s time.”
Bruce was sacked as West Bromwich Albion boss in October 2022 after an unhappy nine months at The Hawthorns.
That followed a difficult two years in charge of hometown club Newcastle.
In his whole managerial career he had never previously been out of work for more than six months and admitted he needed to take a longer break before returning.
“I wanted to make sure that I took at least 12 months off,” he said.
“I think all my family know that I was wanting to go back to work and good for them that they never tried to stop me either and I’m grateful for that.
“It’s just being involved in football – the winning on a Saturday or even the disappointment like we had on Tuesday of conceding a last minute equaliser.”
