20 Highest-Paid Strikers in the Premier League (2026)
The Premier League is one of the wealthiest divisions in world football, with some of the best players in world football plying their trade in England. In attracting elite talent, clubs must pay eye-watering sums of money, especially in the modern day.
It’s widely accepted that the hardest thing to do in the beautiful game is to put the ball in the back of the net consistently. This is why finding the right man to lead the line can be a difficult, and expensive, process. Strikers are often paid more money than defensive players, rightly or wrongly.
That said, below are the 20 Premier League strikers to take home the most money each week. Erling Haaland, Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus all feature among the most handsomely compensated centre-forwards in the English top-flight.

Yoane Wissa
£140,000 p/w
A couple of players on this list have certainly been rewarded for what most fans would consider unprofessional behaviour this past summer, demanding moves away from their teams and outright refusing to play until they got their desired transfer. One such example is former Brentford striker Yoane Wissa.
Wissa developed well at the Hounslow-based club, taking on a more prominent role following the departure of Ivan Toney and likely set for an even bigger one after Bryan Mbeumo joined Manchester United. However, the striker was determined to move on himself, eventually forcing through a switch to Newcastle United, where he secured a lucrative £140,000-per-week salary.
9
Randal Kolo Muani
£150,000 p/w
Randal Kolo Muani jumped straight into the top 10 after being granted a weekly wage of £150,000 upon his arrival in North London. The Frenchman would have been hoping to get off to a flying start in England, but that has not been the case.
The 27-year-old, who infamously missed a golden opportunity in the dying moments of the 2022 World Cup final which would have seen France crowned champions, has netted just two goals for Spurs at the time of writing and is yet to get off the mark in the Premier League. The chances that Spurs make his loan deal permanent appear very slim.
8
Benjamin Sesko
£160,000 p/w
After being linked with Newcastle United earlier in the transfer window, Benjamin Sesko agreed to join Manchester United in August 2025 and they splashed the cash to get him. In Ruben Amorim’s first preseason in charge of the Red Devils, he worked hard to revamp the team and after signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo earlier in the window, he brought in Sesko to complete his brand-new front three.
The striker might not have been lights out in front of goal in 2024/25, scoring just 13 times in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig, but United had faith in his abilities and gave him a £160,000-a-week contract as they try to play their way back into European football.
7
Hugo Ekitike
£200,000 p/w
After winning the Premier League title during Arne Slot’s debut campaign, Liverpool went wild and splashed some serious cash after the 2024/25 season wrapped up. They brought in Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz for big money, but they weren’t done there. After Newcastle United rejected their bid for Alexander Isak, they turned to Hugo Ekitike and brought him to Anfield for around £69m.
It’s a gamble considering the striker scored just 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season, but the Reds are fully committed and they’re paying him £200,000 every single week. Time will tell whether it was genius business or a major misfire, but the way he has started at his new club is certainly promising.
6
Viktor Gyokeres
£200,000 p/w
After what felt like forever, Arsenal finally got their man and signed Viktor Gyokeres shortly before the 2025/26 campaign got underway. Mikel Arteta had been interested in the Swede for a while and considering how long they’d needed an out-and-out goalscorer, he was prepared to pay a pretty penny to land him.
Gyokeres set the world alight with Sporting CP, scoring 97 goals in 102 appearances for the Portuguese club, so he didn’t come cheap. Arsenal spent an initial £55m on the striker and handed him a £200,000-a-week deal. He hasn’t had the impact they would have liked, though, as he’s struggled to adapt to the top-flight of English football.
5
Gabriel Jesus
£265,000 p/w
Gabriel Jesus is a four-time Premier League champion. With credentials like those, the Brazilian was always going to command a high salary when he made the switch from Manchester City to Arsenal. He’s been unable to find his clinical edge at the Emirates but was still one of the signings that played a huge part in closing the gap to his former employers.
Having to compete with an in-form Kai Havertz for a starting place alongside Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli seemed to bring the best out of the Brazilian during December 2024, but any momentum he may have been building was halted after he sustained an ACL injury in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United the following month. With the club splashing out on Gyokeres last summer, Jesus is more often than not being tasked with making an impact off the bench.
4
Kai Havertz
£280,000 p/w
He may be a divisive figure at the Emirates, but Kai Havertz is still one of the most available strikers at Arsenal, even if he is not the most clinical of goalscorers. The German joined the club from Chelsea, for whom he scored the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final. However, he has failed to prove himself consistently in front of goal for the Gunners.
Though he was far more productive last season than in previous years, he has still faced criticism for his performances, with Arteta having to launch strong defences for the player on more than one occasion. His future could come into question with Arsenal spending big on Gyokeres.
3
Alexander Isak
£280,000 p/w
Insert the comments on Wissa forcing a move here. It is almost an identical story really, so by and large Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool could very much be a case of copying the comments about the man who replaced him at St James’ Park and just fixing some of the key details.
However, what can’t be ignored is that Isak is one of the truly world-class players in the Premier League when he is on song. Therefore, it was really only a matter of time before a move to one of football’s biggest clubs transpired, even if it wasn’t done in the most diplomatic way. He hasn’t justified why Liverpool spent so much money on him, though, as he’s found form and fitness hard to come by in a red shirt.
2
Omar Marmoush
£295,000 p/w
With City stumbling throughout the 2024/25 season, Pep Guardiola was forced to urge the club’s owners to flex their financial muscle and bring in some new faces to freshen up the squad during the January transfer window. The biggest of those signings was Omar Marmoush.
Before his move, Marmoush had found the net 20 times in 26 appearances for Frankfurt, which was enough for City to part with £59 million to secure his services. With Erling Haaland to contend with for a spot in the starting XI, the Egyptian has found opportunities to start for City up top hard to come by, having to play out wide or as a back-up more often than not.
1
Erling Haaland
£525,000 p/w
Who can argue that one of the best strikers in world football is deserving of the highest wage when it comes to Premier League forwards? Erling Haaland has been excellent ever since he arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2022. The Norway international is ice-cold in front of goal and has broken several records already.
The clinical centre-forward found the net 36 times in his debut season in the hardest league in the world, setting a new record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League campaign. While he hasn’t quite hit the same heights since, he is still a goal machine and has signed a monstrous new contract worth more than half a million pounds a week.
Haaland, Ronaldo and Messi’s Stats at 24 Compared
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the two greatest footballers to have lived – but Erling Haaland’s numbers at 24 are scary.
