Denzel Dumfries was still absent from the Inter training today and will be among the five unavailable players against Atletico Madrid tomorrow.
Inter are preparing for Wednesday’s Champions League game against Atletico Madrid without five players this morning: Dumfries, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Matteo Darmian, Raffaele Di Gennaro and Tomas Palacios.
All of them had already missed Sunday’s 1-0 loss against Milan, and TMW reports that none have recovered for tomorrow’s Champions League match in Spain.
Inter have collected four wins in their opening four Champions League matches this term, while Atletico have collected two victories and two defeats.
The Nerazzurri have just 11 of their last 13 games across all competitions, but their only two defeats came against direct Serie A rivals Napoli and Milan.
Petar Sucic replaced Mkhitaryan in the derby against Milan on Sunday, while Carlos Augusto was deployed on the right in place of Dumfries. Inter’s remaining games in the Champions League are against Atletico, Liverpool, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
Inter will travel to Madrid later today, and Cristian Chivu will hold a pre-match press conference at 19:00 CET (18:00 GMT).
