Sebastien Desabre’s side drew with the group winners on matchday two, with that result sandwiched by wins over Benin and Botswana.

Algeria vs DR Congo is scheduled for a 4pm GMT kick-off on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

The match will take place at the Stade Prince Moulay Al Hassan in Rabat, Morocco.

TV channel: Every match of the tournament will be broadcast across Channel 4’s network.

The game will be broadcast on 4seven, with coverage starting at 3.55pm GMT.

Algeria’s only injury concern is left-back Jaouen Hadjam, with the Young Boys defender nursing an ankle problem.

Rayan Ait-Nouri, the City left-back, was shifted back to his natural position after starting wide left, with Anis Hadj-Moussa in the front three instead.

Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca keeps goal for the Desert Warriors, who also boast the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Ramy Bensebaini, Dinamo Zagreb’s Ismael Bennacer, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Fares Chaibi.

As for the DR Congo, Desabre has a full complement to choose from.

They have Premier League full-backs – West Ham past and present – Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as well as former Newcastle defender Chancel Mbemba at centre-back. Axel Tuanzebe completes the back four in front of Lionel Mpasi.
