The controversial influencer is set to make a stunning return to combat sports later this month against Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor
Chase DeMoor has sent boxing fans into meltdown after hinting that Andrew Tate may be riddled with injuries heading into their heavyweight clash later.
Controversial influencer Tate will make his professional boxing debut on December 20 against the former Too Hot to Handle star. The 39-year-old enjoyed a glittering spell in the world of kickboxing, before having to cut his career relatively short after sustaining several injuries.
After his Misfits debut was confirmed, Tate was quick to head straight to the gym and get ready for his mouthwatering clash with the reigning heavyweight champion under the Misfits banner. He is clearly leaving no stone unturned as he looks to kick off his boxing career with a bang.
Last month, fans were left concerned after the 39-year-old was seen sporting a nasty black eye following a brutal training session inside the squared-circle. That is not the only thing the boxing faithful should be worried about, though, after DeMoor revealed further injury issues that his upcoming adversary is dealing with.

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will face off for a heavyweight clash in Miami on December 19. The fight will stream live on Netflix, which fans can get for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, the brand’s ‘lowest ever price’ for Sky TV.
“A lot of people call it insecurity, but I’ve been in this fight game for a few years now and I’ve never shut my mouth. They always say one day I’m going to find out. I’ve been trying to test the theory. I’ve called out much bigger people than, you know, a four and three light heavyweight. You know, all credit to him for winning a a kickboxing championship however many decades ago in some promotion I’ve never heard of,” DeMoor said at the pre-fight face-off.
“But this is the real world. You’re going up against a much bigger, heavier, taller, longer, faster, stronger individual. And I just think I don’t think that you’re fast enough. I think that your IQ is falling off a bit. You might have all the experience, 80s something fights, but I just I think the first thing that goes is your reflexes. I know you have a torn bicep. I know I’ve seen clips with your eyes. I’ve seen the pads. I’ve seen all of that. I just don’t think you’re a phenomenal enough athlete anymore to step in the ring with somebody like me.”
Regardless of the severe warning from DeMoor, it seems to have failed to get under Tate’s skin. The 39-year-old remains devoted to a stunning comeback and admits he only had eyes on the Misfits heavyweight king.

“I never really left,” he said. “I was training all of the time. I’ve lived in the gym. I’ve always loved sport. I was locked in my house for three long years with nothing to do but train. I was looking forward to eventually getting back involved in things. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be MMA or boxing, but this is my first boxing match and I decided to take on the champ, so I’m very excited.
“I was speaking to Mams Taylor at Misfits for a while. I understood I had to become the CEO and take KSI’s job. And then once that was done, we were talking about the roster of fighters. We want to become the biggest sports promotion in the world. And I think the best way to test the quality of our champions is to do it myself. So I thought he’s a heavyweight champion and I want to be the heavyweight champion, so let’s fight the heavyweight champion.
“It’s not anything personal against Chase. He dislikes me, it seems. That’s up to him. I’d fight anyone who had the belt. It’s Chase. If it was someone else, I’d fight them. And I’m here to perform; I’ve trained 100 one hundred per cent. I feel fantastic. In fact, I’m actually very surprised by how well training has gone because I had some old injuries from long ago that have not flared back up. So, I feel fantastic and I’m there to perform on the night. I’m very, very excited.”
When is Andrew Tate vs Chase DeMoor?
The blockbuster showdown between Tate and DeMoor will take place on Saturday, December 20 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai. Official fights times are yet to be confirmed, but expect the main card to get underway at around 6pm UK time (1pm ET / 10am PT / 12pm CT). In the main event Tate will likely make the walk to the ring first at around 10pm UK time (5pm ET / 3pm PT / 4pm CT) which will be 2am on Sunday in Dubai, where the fight is taking place. The timings of all fights are subject to change and will depend on how long the undercard takes to complete.
