Arsecast Extra Episode 674 - 05.01.2026

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.

In this episode we look back at Saturday’s 3-2 win over Bournemouth. We discuss the uncharacteristic error from Gabriel which gave the home side the lead, then examine his response and what that says about him as a player and a leader. There’s credit for Bournemouth in terms of how difficult they made it in the first half, before Declan Rice’s second half brace put us in a commanding position. Eli Junior Kroupi pulled one back thanks to a wibbly-wobbly ball, but Arsenal saw the game out comfortably enough, and we talk about how recent experience of dealing with single goal leads might have played a part for us. There’s also chat about other results and goings on in the Premier League this weekend, before we answer questions about Ethan Nwaneri after he failed to make the squad, another game with 0 minutes for Eberechi Eze, the growing importance and influence of Declan Rice, Piero Hincapie, and loads more.
