Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sell Donyell Malen to Serie A side Roma, with the Dutch striker joining on loan with an obligation to buy, according to Fabrizio Romano.
It’s been just over a year since Malen joined Villa from Borussia Dortmund, signing in the January transfer window of 2025. Since then, Malen has failed to cement himself as a guaranteed starter, with Unai Emery preferring Ollie Watkins as the central striker in his system.
