Poland midfielder Jakub Moder has left Brighton to join Feyenoord on a permanent transfer.
Moder, who joined the Seagulls from Lech Poznan in 2020, has signed a three-and-half-year deal at the Dutch club.
The 25-year-old only made four substitute appearances for Fabian Hurzeler’s side in the Premier League this season.
“We have a lot of competition for places in midfield and Jakub wants to play more frequently,” Brighton boss Hurzeler said in a statement.
“He has recovered brilliantly from a serious knee injury and he wants to cement his place in the Poland squad and it is understandable he wants to play more games.”
After making 28 league appearances for the club during the 2021-22 season, an anterior cruciate ligament injury ruled Moder out of the 2022 World Cup and the entirety of the 2022-23 campaign.
He only made his Brighton return in a 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest in November 2023, going on to play 19 times in all competitions last season.
The Pole will link up with Brighton loanee Ibrahim Osman and former first-team coach Bjorn Hamberg at the Rotterdam club.
