Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset are all confident Inter will not sign Joao Cancelo, as the Al-Hilal player made clear he wants Barcelona.
There had been reports today that Inter agreed a deal with Al-Hilal, which would involve an exchange with either Stefan de Vrij or Francesco Acerbi moving to Saudi Arabia to reunite with their former coach Simone Inzaghi.
However, it was always evident that Cancelo was ready to hesitate because he believed Barcelona would step up and make their own offer.
He was right, as the Blaugrana made their approach today and naturally the player has already accepted personal terms.
Now multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Fabrizio Romano and more are all confident Cancelo will be joining Barcelona.
Inter were well aware of the situation and had only attempted the proposal as a stopgap measure while Denzel Dumfries is out injured following surgery to stabilise his ankle.
