Chelsea fans have called out Enzo Maresca for a ‘massive red flag’ from the Blues boss in their shock 2-1 loss to Fulham.
Maresca’s side have been in great form of late and are seen as Liverpool’s closest challengers at the top of the table.
Another slip up by Manchester City earlier in the day at home to Everton gave Chelsea a chance to push further clear of the defending champions and put pressure on Liverpool.
And they looked on course to do just that when Cole Palmer scored a sensational solo effort in the first half to put Chelsea in full control.

But they were always in dangers of being caught on the counter as Chelsea continued to miss chances to double their lead.
And they were eventually punished in the 82nd minute when Harry Wilson popped up for the equaliser before Rodrigo Muniz bagged a winner in stoppage time for the visitors.
It was Fulham’s first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979 and pulled them level with City on points after 18 games.
Chelsea fans were furious after the match and some even saw it coming due to some decisions made by Maresca.
One supporter wrote on X: “First red flag on Maresca today. Massive one. Says Nkunku doesn’t press = subs him on in a crucial moment. Says he loves Felix = doesn’t sub him on. Ignores Gusto being a liability. 2 GK’s on the bench. Sancho and Neto been dreadful = played 90.”
Another posted: “A deserved defeat! We sat back the entire second half until Fulham equalized that we wanted to show urgency in less than ten minutes.”
A third fumed: “Very poor performance from The Manager and players today. The defeat was so glaring from 65th minutes on.”
One other message read: “The coach allowed this, what was it thinking in second half when our midfield totally collapsed? After the goal we refused to attack the way we used to play and slowing the game.”

Another angrily said: “Disgusting. Threw that away.”
Chelsea had a chance of moving within one point of Liverpool at the top of the table with a win over Fulham.
But they’re now four points back from Arne Slot’s side, who face Leicester in one of two games they have in hand.

Fulham’s win over Chelsea wasn’t the only surprise of the day with Nottingham Forest continuing their incredible campaign with a 1-0 win over Tottenham.
The victory for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side saw them climb up to third in the table and just one point behind Chelsea.
Arsenal will now have a chance to move into second when they face Ipswich on Friday evening.
