The darts fan who won £60,000 as a result of Christian Kist’s nine-darter at the 2025 World Darts Championship has revealed how he plans to spend the huge prize.
A nine-darter on the biggest stage in darts is a rare occurrence and it last happened two years ago.
Bookmakers Paddy Power announced before the tournament started that they would offer a huge prize as part of their ‘BIGGER 180’ campaign for any nine-dart finish at the tournament.
One fan chosen at random would receive £60,000 with the same sum given to the player and the charity Prostate Cancer UK.

There had been a few close calls in the first few days of the World Darts Championship, but Kist ended the wait in style on Wednesday evening.
The Dutchman pulled off the feat to take the first leg against Madars Razma, instantly trebling his earnings for the entire year.
One lucky fan was then chosen at random from the 3,300 punters in attendance at Alexandra Palace for the £60,000 prize.
Kris, a railway worker from Sutton, was picked out by the cameras and appeared immediately stunned as the realisation sunk in.
He was beaming from ear to ear as he held up the huge check confirming his cash prize.
“I’m absolutely speechless to be honest,” Kris said.
“Didn’t expect it to happen to me and yeah, I’m just really speechless! Shaking still and I can’t believe it.
“I’m a massive darts fan, I came here probably 10 years ago with my brother and my granddad who I’m with tonight, but haven’t been back since.

“This was a birthday present so it’s made it even better.
“My granddad got me the tickets too, who I’m with so that makes it even sweeter doesn’t it.”
When asked what he planned to do with the huge prize, Kris said: “I’ve no idea.
