Beau Greaves has lashed out at the PDC for not allowing players to compete in both the WDF Championships and the showpiece event at the Alexandra Palace.
The female darts phenomenon is seen as one of the brightest young stars in the sport and became a three-time WDF Women’s World Darts Championship at the weekend with a thumping victory over Sophie McKinlay.
Her performances on the PDC Women’s Series this year once again saw her earn one of two automatic qualifying spot for the PDC World Darts Championships at the Alexandra Palace.
However, due to a rule introduced by the PDC last year, Greaves was forced to choose between defending her Lakeside title and making her second Ally Pally appearance.

Players were informed that anybody who earned qualification for the PDC World Championships would not be allowed to compete in the WDF World Championships.
Greaves has spoken previously about her preference to play against women as opposed to men on a regular basis.
And she feels the PDC should be able to create a womens-only World Championships like the WDF.
“I love WDF darts. It’s the only tour that gives you a world championship for women,” Greaves said.
“The PDC is great. But it doesn’t have a world championship. It has a World Matchplay. That isn’t good enough.
“The PDC has to have a world championship to justify having a Tour for the ladies. The Women’s Series is great and the money is good.
“At the same time, we want more for it. The ruling about not being able to play both is stupid.
“I can understand the men doing it but the women, I don’t understand that part of it – they don’t have a world championship for the women.
“The WDF has a ladies’ world championship and you have to pick what is best for you.”

Greaves made strides in the Grand Slam of Darts just last month when she thrashed world No 39 Cameron Menzies 5-1 in her final group game with a 95.17 average.
That victory gave the 20-year-old more confidence about playing against the best players in the world on a more regular basis heading into 2025 as she looks to take the next step in her career.
She said: “I need to start pushing myself to get better. I had gone stale. In 2025, I will do more stuff, play better and get more consistent. I have been inconsistent this whole tournament.

“It would benefit me if I am open to playing more stuff. I want to be a better darts player and more comfortable on the stage.
“It’s hard when you are not used to playing all the top players all of the time.
“I’d love to be at the standard to play the men all the time. At this stage, I don’t think I can.”
