Diogo Dalot reaction after Man Utd exit Emirates FA Cup v Brighton | 11 January 2026

Dalot was asked about the feeling that United have recently done enough to win games, but every chance given away to the opponent seems to result in a goal. 

“Yeah, I think that’s something obviously that we have to look for,” our no.2 added. “We are in the phase where every attack that they [the opponents] have has to be a big threat to us.
We’re conceding so many less shots on target, and we conceded one goal at least every game. We are always a threat. But then, where we stand for defending, I think we have to have a little bit more urgency as a team.”

Focus for Diogo and the rest of the team now turns to the Manchester derby, where United will be looking to bounce back from this evening’s disappointment.
