Evander Holyfield predicts Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua with fight finally set for 2026
The Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight looks to finally be happening next year and the predictions have already began to roll in.
After years of speculation, the long-awaited all British heavyweight showdown is now reportedly agreed to take place at some point in late 2026.
Fury and Joshua are both former world heavyweight champions, and while they may no longer hold any of those belts, it still remains a massive fight in the sport, and now another heavyweight legend has offered his thoughts on the proposed bout.
Evander Holyfield is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, holding the honour of being the only four-time world heavyweight champion in history, and being one of just two men to be undisputed at cruiserweight and heavyweight.
‘The Real Deal’ knows what it is like to be involved in a heavyweight mega-fight, taking on the likes of Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe and George Foreman during his career, and he has revealed to Fight Hub TV who he is picking in the Fury vs Joshua clash.
“That definitely would be a good fight cause both guys fight pretty much the same. I think Tyson Fury, he’s the type of guy that can make adjustments with him. I think he can outthink him.”
Joshua and Fury must first come through planned interim bouts earlier in 2026 before their meeting, while Joshua also has to deal with his controversial clash with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, which takes place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday 19 December.
