Exact weight difference between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul revealed at official weigh in
Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua have both weighed in ahead of their fight tomorrow night.
One of the most unlikely bouts of the year takes place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday, as YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul goes up against former world heavyweight champion Joshua.
It is a massive step up in competition for Paul, who has become best known for facing ageing fighters or former MMA stars, with his most notable outing come last November when he had a controversial clash against a then 58-year-old Mike Tyson.
Joshua has been unified world heavyweight champion on two occasions, but did come up short in his last fight, suffering a fifth round knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024.
With the Paul vs. Joshua fight just over 24 hours away, the two men have taken to the scales, with Paul weighing in at 216.4lbs for the clash.
It is considerably lighter than the 227lbs he weighed when he took on Tyson in his only other heavyweight fight in his career so far, with all of his other bouts taking place at cruiserweight.
As for Joshua, he was required to come in under the 245lb limit for the fight, something he hadn’t done since his fight with Oleksandr Usyk in August 2022, but managed to so, as he weighed 243.4lbs. The pair will meet later today at the ceremonial weigh in.
AJ is a massive favourite in tomorrow’s fight, with Paul having already come unstuck once in his career when he met Tommy Fury in February 2023, with a miracle likely needed if ‘The Problem Child’ is to cause one of the biggest upsets in the sport’s history.
