Fiorentina are in talks to extend Dodo’s contract, and both parties are willing to reach an agreement.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that Fiorentina have resumed talks to extend Dodo’s contract.
The news was first reported by Flavio Ognissanti of Passione Fiorentina. Negotiations are ongoing, and both parties are willing to reach an agreement and put pen to paper on a new deal.
Negotiations between Fiorentina and Dodo began months ago, but had hit a potentially dangerous impasse as the Brazilian has less than two years left in his contract at the Stadio Franchi.
In such circumstances, it is vital to reach an agreement to avoid any other option linked to the transfer market. Last summer, some top Serie A clubs sounded out Fiorentina‘s availability to sell Dodo, but the Tuscans never even considered selling the Brazilian right-back.
Now, the Viola are working to extend his stay at the club beyond June 2027.
