Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV: Industry predictions for the British heavyweight title fight

This weekend in Derby, either Frazer Clarke or Jeamie TKV will become the 17th winner this century of the British heavyweight title.

In the last 25 years, reigns have generally been shorter, with the longest belonging to Danny Williams’ first spell as champion from October 2000 to January 2004. It is unlikely Clarke or TKV will hold on to the belt for that long.

Clarke, 34, is looking to prove that his Olympic pedigree should at least secure him the British title. Both men have challenged for the Lonsdale belt before: Clarke went to hell and back against Fabio Wardley, while TKV came up short in a controversial and largely forgettable bid against David Adeleye.

The upcoming fight also brings big-time domestic boxing back to the BBC, and the broadcaster will hope the fiery build-up is matched by an occasion to remember.
