Guro Reiten: Chelsea trigger option to extend winger’s contract

Chelsea have triggered the option to extend winger Guro Reiten’s contract until 2026.

The 30-year-old Norway forward signed a new deal with the Women’s Super League (WSL) champions in December 2023, which included the option to extend.

Reiten has made 177 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Norweigan side LSK Kvinner in 2019.

She has won five WSL titles, three FA Cups and two League Cups with the club.

Reiten is the top scorer for Sonia Bompastor’s side in the WSL this season with six goals.

Chelsea are top of the WSL, six points clear of second-placed Manchester City, and return to action following the winter break on Sunday when they face Charlton in the FA Cup fourth round.
