No equipment needed for this 20 minute at home abs workout. I do love some stretching and some extra ab work on my active rest days so I thought I would record this simple routine for you to save for those low impact days when you want to move but not affect your training the next day!
These movements are all different each performed for 50 seconds, 10 seconds brief rest. This is a slow paced routine to really encourage that extra focus on lower back flat on mat and core braced throughout.
Just grab your mat and join me for a 20 minute ab routine, targeting the lower abs, upper abs, obliques and entire core!

If you are currently doing the EPIC Program, you will be aware there is a lot of movements involving stabilisation and strengthening of the core including full body movements, HIIT training, also overhead press and even back work! Also there are ab specific exercises towards the end of at beginning of many of the workouts too… however I also love training abs solely occasionally!

What’s the mat being used in the video?
I love the no repeat. I'm a fitness teacher but if I'm not teaching, I'm not motivated enough to do a real, more than 10 min workout. I made this one harder by adding the top half lift {head and shoulders up} while doing all of the leg work during the first half.

did anyone else got nauseous? My abs hurt and made me nauseous and I was 5 hours fasted too.
Definitely enjoyed this one, though it was a fair bit above my current level. Took some extra-breaks in between and replaces a couple of exercises by back or oblique work to give my abs some rest. 😀
This is a challenging workout, and that's why I keep coming back. I can't see a difference after 2 months. But a can really feel the difference. My core is a lot stronger.

My lower spine is hurting when I lift up my legs..I think I hurt it while doing Pilates ..I got tired and probably had the wrong stance, unfortunately I couldn't finish this workout but will try another day

Yay! My abs feel more engaged today than 2 days ago. I got conscious of doming and my lower back. The leg drops were still difficult. Onto the next!
