SATURDAY
Macclesfield v Crystal Palace (12.15pm)
Arguably the most romantic tie of the weekend with the phoenix club formed from the ashes of Macclesfield Town hosting the cup holders. It’s National League North versus the Premier League.

Tottenham v Aston Villa (5.45pm)
These two clubs have 15 FA Cup titles between them but neither have been victorious since Spurs claimed the trophy in 1991. Thomas Frank would love a repeat to ease the growing pressure. Villa’s fans claim the FA Cup is a priority given the last time they won it was in 1957.

Charlton v Chelsea (8pm)
Liam Rosenior will take charge of Chelsea for the first time and will be desperate to avoid a cup shock on debut. Charlton are in rancid form in the Championship and the visitors ought to have too much.

SUNDAY
Derby v Leeds (12pm)
The clubs have recent beef following spygate in 2019 but Leeds are currently outperforming their East Midlands rivals. Derby have won just two of their last nine in the Championship and sit 13th after a strong start.

Portsmouth v Arsenal (2pm)
Premier League leaders Arsenal will head to Fratton Park believing a domestic treble is possible given they are also in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup. The Gunners look unstoppable and, even if Mikel Arteta makes changes, will provide a stern test for a Pompey side beaten 5-0 at Bristol City last time out.

Manchester United v Brighton (4.30pm)
Darren Fletcher’s first game in caretaker charge of United ended in a draw at Burnley despite a much-improved performance. The Scot will also be in the dugout for the visit of the Seagulls on Sunday. It’s a second trip to Manchester in five days for Brighton, who drew 1-1 at the Etihad on Wednesday.

MONDAY
Liverpool v Barnsley (7.45pm)
A slightly baffling choice for live broadcast sees League One strugglers Barnsley head to Merseyside. Arne Slot’s men are out of the EFL Cup and not going to win the Premier League. They will see the FA Cup as a real opportunity.
