Conor McGregor has warned Jake Paul he will be never be the same again after taking on Anthony Joshua tonight with the heavyweights set to clash in Miami
Conor McGregor has issued a stark warning to Jake Paul, claiming the YouTuber-turned-boxer will never be the same after facing Anthony Joshua tonight.
Paul has boldly backed himself to pull off a massive shock against the former two-time heavyweight world champion in Miami. However, the American faces a significant two-stone weight disadvantage alongside a glaring gap in both experience and skill. Despite widespread criticism, the clash has been given the green light as a professional fight.
Former two-weight UFC champion McGregor is amongst those expressing serious concerns for Paul’s wellbeing. “I have set the odds for Anthony Joshua to KO Jake Paul inside the first 60 seconds at 11/1,” he posted on social media regarding his new betting venture. “I have not placed my own personal bet on this match yet I have only just set the odds. I do like ‘KO in first 60seconds’ at 11/1 tho. It’s now about how much / what else?”

“A colossal sum on an outright win is good too. $5m would return win $5.6m. This is an absolute layup fight. It is not fixed also I know Matchroom. Jake is stupid and will be altered permanently from this bout. I can’t just sit idly by and watch it happen without making a cool profit from it too.”
Paul, seemingly unfazed about potential danger, has challenged Joshua to meet him head-on in the ring’s centre. “Let’s f*****g go, bro, let’s put on a show for the fans, let’s go to war,” Paul declared at the press conference. “Men have done crazier things throughout human history. This is the modern-day gladiator sport. This is what we are here to do, to f**k each other up. I want his hardest punches, I want there to be no excuses, when it’s all said and done. And let’s f*****g kill each other.”
Joshua, who hasn’t stepped into the ring since his knockout defeat by Daniel Dubois last summer, has grand plans for 2026. If he triumphs over Paul, he’s scheduled to make a comeback on Valentine’s Day in Saudi Arabia, with a victory paving the way for a massive domestic showdown with arch-rival Tyson Fury next September.

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will face off for a heavyweight clash in Miami on December 19. The fight will stream live on Netflix, which fans can get for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, the brand’s ‘lowest ever price’ for Sky TV.
Fury didn’t hold back this week, criticising Joshua for his comments about potentially killing Paul in the ring. “I think, you know what, he’s a little bit long in the tooth to be talking sh*t like that,” Fury retorted. “He’s 37 years old at the end of his career, fighting a YouTuber, a Disney Channel guy, who Tommy (Fury) beat, and now he’s talking about killing him and all that to try and sell. Please. Barking up the wrong tree, idiot.”
Fury continued his tirade, warning: “Here’s a fun fact: If I ever come across you, bum, I’m knocking you dead spark out. I ain’t a YouTuber or a man half your size. I am him, the man. You’re a classless loser coming off a 15-month knockout defeat to a local lad. Imagine if someone from Morecambe knocked me out, you big bum useless dosser. Get up, and I can’t wait if Jake Paul knocks you spark out, you big bum.”
