Jamie Carragher has called for Manchester United to sell Marcus Rashford amid speculation linking the 27-year-old with a move away from Old Trafford.
Earlier this week, reports suggested the Red Devils were open to selling the England international amid his lack of consistency.
Rashford has been a key player for United ever since bursting onto the scene in 2016 and, just 18 months ago, looked set to become their main man.
Yet he has often blown hot and cold, with Erik ten Hag unable to coax the best from the attacker prior to his sacking last month.

Ruben Amorim is now the man charged with the task of getting Rashford operating at the peak of his powers.
Carragher, however, believes it’s time for the forward to leave Old Trafford – insisting his form simply hasn’t been good enough to justify him staying put.
Writing in his column for the Telegraph ahead of Sunday’s clash with fierce rivals Manchester City, the former Liverpool star said: “Given how many signings have dropped in value since joining United, it does not surprise me that big names such as Marcus Rashford are being linked with a move.
“United should sell him as he is not delivering value for his lucrative contract. Eleven goals in his 48 league appearances over the past 18 months is not good enough.
“There has been too much of a pantomime around Rashford for the last few seasons, the promise he showed when breaking into the side not realised.
“He is 27 now and should be in his prime. In a front three, Rashford is the third attacker.
“United will never win the Premier League or Champions League if he is leading the line.”
Carragher then proceeded to express a belief that Bruno Fernandes should be cut loose, too.

The Portugal international has been arguably United’s best player ever since arriving from Sporting Lisbon back in the January transfer window of 2020.
However, his best form came during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time in charge – with the player since regressing under both Ten Hag and Amorim.
Carragher admits that Fernandes ‘has been one of United’s best players during a tough period’.
Yet he feels offloading the veteran would be wise given he’s 30 and the club can still make some money from a potential parting of ways.

“A dilemma also looms with Bruno Fernandes,” added the 46-year-old. “Unlike Rashford, Fernandes has been one of United’s best players during a tough period and would have shone with more quality around him during his Old Trafford career.
“But he is 30 now and there may be value in offloading him to raise funds.
“Amorim may see it differently and believe a few more years of Fernandes alongside shrewd additions will serve the team better.
“Selling must be a consideration, however, because Fernandes is one of the few players who can attract a significant fee if profitability and sustainability rules are an issue.

“I’ve always felt Fernandes is a great talent rather than a great player. He creates a lot of chances but can be very indisciplined with and without the ball.
“That makes it a lot harder for United to defend as a compact unit as he chases the ball all over the pitch. It looks like great commitment to the supporters but the manager will be tearing his hair out.”
