The 37-year-old mother of three was shot and killed on the 7th of January during an encounter with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer Jonathan Ross.

Good’s tragic death has triggered widespread protests, becoming a focal point in the national debate over immigration enforcement.

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social, blaming the “radical left” for “violence and hate” and referring to Good as a “professional agitator” who “willfully and viciously ran over the ICE Officer.”

Footage released following the incident has left the public to draw their own conclusions about how events unfolded, with many claiming Trump’s rhetoric purposefully misinformed the public.

Rogan, who endorsed Trump during his presidential campaign and even hosted him on his podcast, has given his take on ICE and the events that have unfolded in Minneapolis.

The podcasting giant was not prepared to side with Trump as he spoke up against ICE during an interview with Republican Senator Rand Paul on the latest episode of the Joe Rogan Experience.

He said: “Now ICE are villains, and now people are looking at them like murderous military people that are on the streets of our cities, and they’re masked up, which is a problem.

“Most people believe that police are necessary… but those same people that believe that, might also believe that once someone is here, they should be able to stay in this country and ICE is operating illegally, and we shouldn’t have militarised groups of people roaming the streets, just showing up with masks on and snatching people up.”

Speaking about Good, he added: “It just looked horrific to me. When people say it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was turning the car away.”

Outrage Caused Since Renee Nicole Good’s Death

The death of Good has sparked outrage, with protests in Minnesota at the heart of unrest. Videos of protestors in Minnesota continue to surface on social media, and during the NBA fixture between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers last week, the overriding sentiment of those in “The North Star State” was made abundantly clear.

During a moment of silence held in memory of Good, a fan shouted: “Go home ICE.” This was met by further shouts and applause at Minnesota’s Target Center, before the silence for Good resumed.

Following the commemorative silence at the Target Center, Golden State Warriors’ Head Coach Steve Kerr also made his feelings known in a viral statement.

He said: “I’m glad that the Timberwolves recognised her life and the tragic nature of her death. It’s shameful, really, that, in our country, we can have law enforcement officers who commit murder and seemingly get away with it!”

Minnesota has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, arguing the surge of ICE and other federal agents in the state is unlawful and violates constitutional rights.
