La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus directors have not given up on Federico Chiesa and are progressing talks with Liverpool, but the Italian winger’s future also depends on Mohamed Salah’s stay at Anfield.
Juventus are continuing talks to bring back Chiesa from Liverpool, according to Gazzetta.
The Bianconeri are convinced that their ex-winger is the ideal reinforcement in attack for Luciano Spalletti, as Chiesa already knows the club and Italian football, so he’d need no time to adapt.
Chiesa only left Juventus for Liverpool 18 months ago and is far from being a regular starter at Anfield.
Gazzetta confirms that the Reds are only open to sending Chiesa back to Juventus on a permanent transfer, while the Bianconeri are pushing for a loan deal with an option to buy. Chiesa’s future also depends on Salah and whether the Egyptian star will remain at Liverpool until the end of the season despite recent disagreements with Arne Slot.
Chiesa would be glad to return to Juventus as the club has changed massively in recent months.
Cristiano Giuntoli and Thiago Motta, who ultimately pushed for his exit in 2024, are gone, while Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini and coach Spalletti are admirers of the 28-year-old.
