For Arne Slot, it may be a case of having to enter the transfer market. While Liverpool haven’t confirmed a timeline of when he’ll return, the reports suggesting that he’ll be out for a few months will be really concerning with the Reds already facing an uphill battle to get back into Premier League title contention.

Antoine Semenyo has been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside with the Bournemouth star available for £65million in January. as a result of a release clause in his contract.

Whether Liverpool will move to sign another forward remains to be seen, but based on this season it seems unlikely that Slot will be able to rely on the players currently at his disposal to see them to glory this term.
