Liverpool defender Conor Bradley will be out for the rest of the season after the injury he suffered in the controversial incident with Gabriel Martinelli at the end of the Reds’ 0-0 draw with Arsenal in midweek.
Bradley went down in a heap after clearing the ball into touch in the final moments of injury-time against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium, with Martinelli roundly criticised for trying to haul the defender off the pitch when clearly in pain.
Martinelli was booked for the incident, that led to a bit of a melee in north London, with Bradley having to be stretchered off with the injury.
And it has now been confirmed that he will miss the rest of the season as he requires surgery on what has been described as a significant knee injury.
Bradley will undergo surgery on the injury in the coming days, when full timeframe on his return will become known. The Northern Irishman will miss his nation’s World Cup 2026 play-off semi-final clash with Italy in March and the subsequent final if they get there.
