Liverpool Targeting Six Wingers to Replace Mohamed Salah Amid Exit Update

Liverpool could be in the market for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah in the near future, especially after his recent comments in the media.

Even ignoring Salah’s outburst, signing a long-term replacement would be a smart idea, considering he’s now 33 years old and showing signs of declining. The Egyptian international has endured a difficult season at Anfield, which led to Arne Slot benching him in Liverpool’s last three matches.

GIVEMESPORT have now taken a look at a list of possible replacements for Salah, based on recent links between the Merseyside club and a potential new winger.

Antoine Semenyo – Release Clause Boost

GIVEMESPORT correspondent Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Liverpool have made initial contact to discover the details of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo’s release clause, which is in the region of £65m.

Semenyo is a versatile winger, who can play on either side of the attack, so even if Salah were to remain at the club, he would be an option for Arne Slot. The Ghanaian forward is enjoying an incredible season with the Cherries, and with a release clause meaning he can depart in January, Liverpool should be one of many clubs looking to prise him away in the winter.

There looks set to be plenty of competition for his signature, but the Reds should be able to offer him regular football.

Yan Diomande – Advanced Talks Underway

According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Liverpool are in advanced talks with the representatives of RB Leipzig youngster Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old winger burst onto the scene this season, and he’s already making waves in the Bundesliga at a young age.

Comfortable on either wing, Diomande would be another versatile option, but he’s likely more of a long-term project signing than someone who’s going to make an immediate impact. Although the Leipzig winger has already shown he’s capable of playing at the highest level, it might be a tough ask to hope for him to replace Salah instantly.

The report from Tavolieri claims that an asking price has been set of around £88m for the winger, so it would be a high-risk addition for the Merseyside club.

Bradley Barcola – Liverpool Showing ‘Active Interest’

According to Le 10 Sport, Liverpool are showing ‘very active’ interest in Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola. The French star is currently in talks with PSG over a possible new deal, with his current deal set to expire in 2028.

Barcola isn’t believed to be fully satisfied with his current situation with the Ligue 1 champions, which could open the door for Liverpool to prise him away. The 23-year-old would be a marquee addition for the Reds if they are able to secure his signature, but it won’t be easy to convince PSG to part ways. Barcola provided 42 goals and assists combined across 64 games in all competitions last season, helping PSG win the treble.

Rodrygo – He’s Open to Liverpool Move

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo in action

TEAMtalk has recently reported that Real Madrid winger Rodrygo would be open to joining Liverpool amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Salah at Anfield. The Spanish outfit are believed to value Rodrygo at around £79m, but they are still hoping to keep him at the club.

The Brazilian international, who earns around £350,000-a-week at Madrid, is unfortunate that he’s having to compete with the likes of Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe for a role in the side, and Xabi Alonso’s current system doesn’t suit Rodrygo.

Rodrygo, labelled a ‘superstar’, would be another marquee addition for the Reds, and with him struggling to play regularly under Alonso at the minute, it could be the ideal time for them to make a move to secure his signature.

Iliman Ndiaye – The Unlikely Move

ndiaye

Liverpool have reportedly held talks with the representatives of Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, but they are yet to make an approach to their Merseyside rivals. A move for the Senegalese international would appear unlikely, even if he’s keen on making the switch across the city, as there’s little chance Everton would be interested in strengthening their rivals.

Ndiaye is a player who would likely improve the majority of the sides in the Premier League, but you’d imagine there are 18 other clubs in England’s top flight that the Toffees would prefer to sell to. His versatility would make him a useful option for the Reds, and he’s bound to want to test himself at a side competing in Europe eventually.

Michael Olise – Another Difficult Move

Reports have also suggested that Liverpool are eyeing a big-money move to sign Bayern Munich star Michael Olise. The French international has flourished since his move to the Bundesliga from Premier League side Crystal Palace, and convincing Vincent Kompany’s side to part ways certainly won’t be easy.

Olise is enjoying an incredible campaign with Bayern, providing 14 goals and assists combined in just 10 starts in the Bundesliga. Prising him away from Bayern will be a tricky task, but there’s no doubt he would be a phenomenal replacement for Salah. At the age of 23, Olise is still yet to even reach his prime years, so it’s scary to think the level he could reach in the future.
