Last month’s Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park was postponed due to safety concerns amid severe travel disruption caused by Storm Darragh.
Today’s weather has already forced the cancellation of several fixtures across England.
League Two matches between Chesterfield and Gillingham, and Fleetwood and AFC Wimbledon have been postponed.
The Women’s FA Cup tie between Nottingham Forest and Burnley has also fallen victim to the adverse conditions.
There’s more than likely going to be a huge disruption to travel if the game does go ahead with trains to Liverpool Lime Street currently cancelled until 12pm.
The Safety Advisory Group’s assessment will focus on both stadium safety and accessibility for the thousands of supporters expected to travel to Anfield.
