Luke Littler congratulated Altay Bayindir on Sunday as Manchester United battled past Arsenal to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The match at the Emirates Stadium went to penalties after goals from Bruno Fernandes and Gabriel.
Bayindir saved a penalty from Martin Odegaard in normal time, with the Turkey international diving to his left to keep the playmaker’s effort at bay.
And he then produced another big save to deny Kai Havertz in the shootout, with Joshua Zirkzee then scoring the winning spot-kick to send the away side through.

Bayindir has often struggled for game time at United since joining the club in 2023.
He’s now established himself as a hero, however, after helping them to victory in north London.
And Littler, who is a huge United supporter, took to social media to congratulate the shot-stopper on his memorable performance.
“Some boy get in you reds,” he wrote, while tagging Bayindir in his post.

Next up for United in the FA Cup is a clash with Leicester – meaning a reunion with Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Van Nistelrooy started the season as Erik ten Hag’s No 2 before stepping up on an interim basis after his fellow Dutchman’s dismissal.
However, he left United to pursue a job in management after United decided to bring in Amorim.
Bayindir, meanwhile, spoke out after the clash in the capital.
