Man United v Bournemouth: Line-ups, stats and preview

Manchester United take on Bournemouth tomorrow. Read our in-depth preview here…

Preview for Man United v Bournemouth

Manchester United welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Monday in a game that brings together two sides in contrasting form.

United are unbeaten in their last three top-flight outings, and most recently enjoyed a 4-1 thrashing of bottom side Wolves to move to seventh in the table.

The Cherries, meanwhile, are winless in six, having not picked up win since late October. The south coast club will, however, be buoyed by an impressive goalless stalemate against Chelsea last weekend.

Andoni Iraola’s men currently find themselves 14th in the table but they will be looking to continue the success they have experienced against the Red Devils in recent seasons.

Team News for Man United v Bournemouth

Defenders Harry Maguire and Mathijs de Ligt will both miss Monday’s match through injury while, at the other end of the pitch, striker Benjamin Sesko could make a return.

The Slovenian has not featured since suffering a knee injury in November, and this week went down a bout of food poisoning. However, he is hoping to have recovered in time to make the matchday squad.

A trio of Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo are due to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations on the same day as this fixture, but Amorim is hopeful all three will be granted permission to feature against the Cherries.

For the visitors, Tyler Adams is available again after serving a ban, however, Lewis Cook serves the final game of his suspension for his red card against Sunderland.

Ben Gannon-Doak, Ryan Christie and Matai Akinmboni all look set to miss out through injury, while Veljko Milosavljevic and Marcos Senesi are also doubtful.
