Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle to appoint Michael Carrick as the new interim head coach until the end of the season, journalist David Ornstein has revealed.
The Old Trafford side are reportedly expected to confirm Carrick and his proposed coaching staff in time for the Manchester derby on Saturday at Old Trafford.
Carrick is set to take over interim duties from his former teammate Darren Fletcher, who oversaw two games in charge after replacing Ruben Amorim last week.
GIVEMESPORT reported on Monday that Carrick had overtaken Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the race for the Old Trafford vacancy following face-to-face talks over the weekend.
