Man Utd Could Look to Appoint Roberto De Zerbi After Amorim

Manchester United are now ‘getting closer’ to appointing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker manager until the end of the season, according to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano.

GMS sources revealed on Tuesday afternoon that United had made contact with Solskjaer – along with another former Red Devil Michael Carrick – about managing the club until the summer, with the Norwegian seen as a leading candidate for the job.

The frontrunner appears to be Solskjaer, who is closing in on a second spell in charge at Old Trafford following talks on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Speaking on his YouTube channel on Tuesday evening, Romano said:

The return of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is really concrete, possible and getting closer. After Solskjaer offered himself to Manchester United, as I told you yesterday, today I spoke to you about contacts and about this possibility becoming real.
