It’s unclear whether Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui will be available for Manchester United’s clash against Bournemouth on Monday, but the Reds have dropped a massive hint
Manchester United seem to have dropped a major hint that Bryan Mbeumo will be available for Monday’s clash with Bournemouth. The Cameroon star was featured in training photographs with his teammates ahead of the match despite uncertainty around his involvement.
United have kept quiet about the availability of Mbeumo, Amad and Noussair Mazraoui as they gear up to face the Cherries at Old Trafford. The trio are due to jet off to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) next week, but doubt remains over whether they’ll take to the pitch against Andoni Iraola’s side.
FIFA established Monday, December 15, as the release date for clubs to free up players for the tournament, which kicks off on Saturday, December 21, but this created complications for United as their match with the Cherries falls on Monday.

It’s believed that United officials have been in discussions with the football associations of Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Morocco regarding all three players in an attempt to negotiate an extension and enable them to play against Bournemouth before departing for the AFCON.
However, United now appear to have given the strongest indication yet that Mbeumo, specifically, will line up against Bournemouth. United shared a photograph of Mbeumo in training on Instagram on Sunday morning.
Accompanying three images of Mbeumo grinning during training with his teammates, United wrote in a caption: “BM19 [beaming face with smiling eyes emoji, white love heart emoji].”
Supporters rushed to the comments section to share their predictions about Mbeumo’s performance against Bournemouth, should he turn out for United on Monday. One supporter said: “Goal and assists tomorrow [fire emoji].”
Another posted: “Last dance for Mbeumo and Amad [raised hands emoji].”
A third commented: “Sign off with goals tomorrow, before going for the AFCON.”
A fourth chimed in: “Mbeumo to score a hat-trick tomorrow.”
Speaking ahead of the Bournemouth clash, United boss Ruben Amorim revealed discussions are ongoing regarding Mbeumo, Amad and Mazraoui: “We are still in conversations with national team, the games in Monday, they are training and we are trying to prepare all scenarios.
“It’s frustrating but at the same time nobody knows who is going to play, so it’s a good thing. We have players to cope with everything. With a long week you can work on several stuff to prepare the game.”
Amorim suggested on Friday that United could exploit the uncertainty to their benefit, stating: “Every national team has their ideas about when they want the players. I expect today [Friday] or maybe tomorrow [Saturday] to have a decision but we are waiting until the last moment to choose the best team.”
Victory against Bournemouth would lift United into fifth place in the Premier League standings. The Red Devils, who thrashed Wolves 4-1 in their previous outing, have suffered just one loss in their last nine league matches.
