Man Utd Must Sack Ruben Amorim and Hire Crystal Palace Boss Oliver Glasner

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has to be under serious pressure after another disappointing result, and it’s time for them to try and bring Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner to the club.

United had an opportunity at home to secure three points as they faced struggling Bournemouth at Old Trafford, but they managed to concede four goals against the Cherries. Thankfully for Amorim, United also struck four times, but the 4-4 thriller will go down as a poor result considering how the game played out.

The Red Devils did superbly to bring the game back to 4-3 late on, but just moments later, they conceded once again. The pressure is mounting on Amorim, not just for their results on the pitch, but situations off it too.

Reports have claimed that Manchester United are considering hiring Glasner if they do choose to sack Amorim, and that’s exactly what they should be looking to do. The result against Bournemouth, in isolation, isn’t a disaster, but Amorim has been at the club for over a year now, and many problems still remain.

United have now conceded more goals than Nottingham Forest and Brentford, who sit 16th and 15th respectively, and after they failed to qualify for Europe last season, enough is enough.

Glasner, described as ‘world-class’, has done a phenomenal job with Crystal Palace, winning two trophies and qualifying for Europe, and he’s done so on a shoestring budget in comparison to United. It’s scary to think what Glasner could do if given the kind of money that United spent.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim looks worried

It’s not just on the pitch where Amorim is calling problems. In the last few days, Amorim has been criticised for, unprompted, calling out multiple United youngsters for their struggles.

“Amass is now struggling in the Championship. Chido is not always a starter in under 21. All these guys played when a lot of people were saying sack the manager.

“So you can see I’m not worried. I just want to win and if he’s the right guy, I will put him in.”

Considering United are a club that prides themselves on their academy and developing young players, it wasn’t a smart move from Amorim, and it was never going to go down well with supporters. It appears that Amorim is seriously damaging the connection with supporters, and the performances on the pitch aren’t good enough, so it’s time to make a change.
