Manchester United are being linked with several potential new signings during the January transfer window with updates on Kenan Yildiz and Yann Bisseck

Manchester United have less than three weeks to complete their transfer business before the window closes. United have until February 2 to make any new signings to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season.

Following Ruben Amorim’s exit last week, United have been looking to appoint a replacement for the 40-year-old for the remainder of the season. Darren Fletcher was placed in interim charge for the matches against Burnley and Brighton, but Michael Carrick looks set to be appointed until the end of the season.

On the transfer front, United have already been linked with a host of potential new signings and that is expected to continue for the next few weeks. United have been heavily linked with signing a midfielder ever since last summer, and it remains to be seen if Amorim’s departure will change the club’s plans for the market this month and for the future.

There is also the possibility that some United players could head for the exit door before the deadline, although that remains mere speculation at this point. Here, Mirror Football takes a look at some of the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip that has emerged over the last 24 hours.

Inter Milan star ‘wanted’

United are reportedly showing an interest in signing Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck. It has been reported by Inter Live that United are among a host of Premier League clubs that have expressed an interest in Bisseck this month.

However, it has been described as “impossible” for United, or any club, to sign Bisseck from Inter before the February 2 deadline. Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and West Ham have also been credited with an interest in signing the player in the same report.

United ‘eye’ Bruno Fernandes replacement

A report has emerged claiming that United have a plan in place for the eventuality of Bruno Fernandes leaving the club. Calciomercato have claimed that clubs from the Saudi Pro League are expressing an interest in Fernandes, including Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, and Al-Ittihad.

As a result, the report claims that United have identified Juventus star Kenan Yildiz as the player they would target if Fernandes were to leave Old Trafford. Yildiz has typically played on the left wing for Juventus this season, but has also performed in the false nine role or on the right wing when necessary for the Serie A giants.
