Matheus Cunha reacts to Leeds 1 Man Utd 1 on 4 January 2026
The importance of the Roses rivalry was not lost on Cunha, who recognised the physicality of the match.
“Coming here is not easy, and this game is so big for everyone, but it’s good to have a point here also.
“It was so hard, we know what they expect to bring to the game, and of course they try to do everything to win also. I have a lot of scars now”, the former Wolves man added.
With today’s effort, it is now three goals in five appearances for Cunha, who relished the opportunity to score just three minutes after Leeds took the lead.
“It gave us positive things to go again, and we tried to do everything to win this game, but we hope the next one [Burnley] can be three points.”
