Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are reportedly on the verge of being disqualified from the Las Vegas Grand Prix in a turn of events that could have massive implications on the 2025 Drivers’ Championship race.
Norris finished second in Sunday’s race, which was won by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, while Piastri crossed the line in fourth. At present, Norris leads the race for the crown by 40 points, with his McLaren teammate Piastri back in second.
However, Verstappen sits only a further 12 points back in third and could benefit hugely if the McLaren duo are thrown out of the race.
The pair are under investigation as the rear skid blocks on their cars were both worn beneath the legal limit when checked after the race.
