New world title fight added to Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua card just 10 days out

The Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua card has been bolstered with a world title fight.

Paul and Joshua meet in their surprise eight-round heavyweight match-up at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida on Friday 19 December, with the event being broadcast live on Netflix.

While most of the attention may lie with the main event, the rest of the card will also generate big viewing figures. It already featured world title action, with unified super-featherweight world champion Alycia Baumgardner facing Leila Beaudoin, and undisputed bantamweight world champion Cherneka Johnson taking on Amanda Galle.

Another female star has now been added to the bill, and it is someone who has been tipped for big things in the sport by a number of experts.

That is because WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois has left Boxxer in order to sign a deal with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, and she will now compete on the card in Miami, as she defends her belt against Camila Panatta.

Dubois initially won the interim WBC lightweight title in August 2024, and was then upgraded to full champion later that year when Katie Taylor vacated the belt.

A first defence for Dubois against Jessica Camara in January ended in a frustrating third round technical decision draw after a clash of heads, but she then defeated Bo Mi Re Shin in March to earn her first victory as world champion.

With Paul’s MVP guiding the careers of a number of female boxers around the lightweight division, including the likes of Baumgardner, Amanda Serrano and Chantelle Cameron, there are a number of exciting future fights for Dubois, provided she is victorious next Friday.
