Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has revealed he wears a fake Rolex watch, despite earning a staggering £69million from his recent victory over Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian boxer, who retained his WBO, WBA, and WBC championships after defeating Fury on Saturday, made the surprising admission just days after his triumph.
The 37-year-old champion, who extended his perfect winning streak to 23 fights, demonstrated his modest approach to luxury items despite his substantial earnings.
Speaking to United44, Usyk explained how he acquired the counterfeit timepiece during his training preparations in Turkey.

“I was boasting a little and showed the cameraman my watch. It’s a Chinese Rolex,” Usyk said.
The champion revealed he purchased the watch from beach sellers, spending just £80 on the replica.
“I thought if I bought one, no one would guess that it was a fake. So I bought it for $100,” he explained.

Usyk’s candid admission comes after accumulating millions throughout his career with victories over boxing stars including Anthony Joshua, Tony Bellew and Fury.
The financial stakes of the bout were substantial, with Fury leaving Riyadh with £56m despite his loss via unanimous decision.
The defeat marked only the second of Fury’s career, ending his impressive undefeated streak.
Fury thought he’d done enough to beat his rival on Saturday night, with the Gypsy King later accusing the judges of giving Usyk the victory as an ‘early Christmas gift’.
The result solidified Usyk’s position at the top of the heavyweight division, with the Ukrainian champion maintaining his perfect professional record.
Despite the fierce competition, Usyk showed respect for his opponent after their gruelling encounter.
