Liam Rosenior will hope for his first home win as Chelsea head coach when Brentford visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues were beaten 3-2 at home by Arsenal in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final on Wednesday and, although Rosenior claimed he was happy with his players’ performance, he must have been alarmed by the gulf in class between the sides.

Brentford will pose another difficult test. Keith Andrews has worked wonders since replacing Thomas Frank at the club in June and the Bees started the weekend fifth after a five-match unbeaten league run including four wins.

Chelsea are two points behind Brentford and winless in five top-flight games following their 2-1 defeat at Fulham on January 7.
