Ruben Amorim discusses Bruno Fernandes injury before Man Utd v Newcastle Boxing Day
The subject of Bruno’s injury dominated the Christmas eve press conference, but Ruben was calm and revealed the message he has relayed to the squad.
“It’s impossible to replace Bruno, I said that this morning to the team. We need to take the good thing that a lot of people need to step up.
“It’s not just the creation but the set-pieces and organising the team. That’s a good opportunity for everyone to step up. We lost Bruno in set-pieces, we lost Bryan [Mbeumo] and Amad in set-pieces, but it’s a chance for others to step up.”
