Ruben Amorim discusses transfer strategy ahead of January 2026 window

In a press conference to preview Tuesday’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Amorim was asked why recruitment has been right during his reign.

“I don’t know, sometimes you need a little bit of luck,” he responded. “I think they [new signings] have the potential to do more.

“I think we are doing things… sometimes I have one idea, Jason and the board has another idea, and every decision that we make, we need to reach a common ground and that is really important.
