Como welcome Sassuolo to the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia this evening as both sides look for vital points in their dreams of continental qualification.
Cesc Fabregas’ side currently sit in 6th place, having lost just one game this season and are just six points off Roma in the top spot. It followed an impressive summer when the lakeside team not only signed some talented new players but also consolidated and kept a hold of their pre-existing stars.
Sassuolo, meanwhile, are not far behind Como. Led by former Italy international Fabio Grosso, the Neroverdi sit in 9th place, having won as many games as their opposition tonight but with four more defeats.
Last weekend, the hosts picked up an impressive 5-1 win on the road at Torino. Meanwhile, Sassuolo battled to a 2-2 draw with a plucky Pisa side.
Como are without the likes of Alberto Dossena and Edoardo Goldaniga, whilst Ivan Smolcic will miss the game through suspension. Sassuolo, on the other hand, are without Filippo Romagna and Laurs Skjellerup.
