Spalletti urges calm around Juventus amid poor form
Luciano Spalletti has called for calm at Juventus as he insisted their recent performances have been blown out of proportion.
Ahead of their Champions League fixture against Bodo/Glimt, Juventus have drawn each of their last three games in all competitions, scoring just twice across those matches.
Juventus have recorded just one victory in their last 12 away matches in the Champions League (D5 L6), with that lone win coming at RB Leipzig in October 2024 (3-2). They had won five of their six away games in the competition prior to these last 12 (L1).
And all four of Juventusâ away games against Norwegian opposition in Europe have ended in draws, and all by the same 1-1 scoreline (once versus Kongsvinger IL in 1993 and three times against Rosenborg between 1997 and 2001).
Spalletti believes his side have not performed as poorly as reported, but claimed they must show desire if they are going to beat Bodo due to the âdisadvantageâ in pitch and climate.
âLetâs take things one at a time, because itâs been made out that weâve had a disaster,â said Spalletti.

âThe players did not do as badly as everyone has made out. I was the first one to admit that we have to do more, and get ourselves out of this. We have to use the resources we have and make use of our qualities. Iâve seen the desire of this team.
âThe pitch and climate are a disadvantage. Iâm lucky enough to have worked abroad. The air you take in is different, itâs so cold and weâre not used to it. Itâs a matter of habits that are different to ours.
âOur desire needs to make up for this gap that exists between the two teams. Theyâre very good at identifying players, itâs not just the pitch and the cold. They have a lot of value and have done well in international competition.â
