As expected, Cagliari have officially signed Ibrahim Sulemana on loan with option to buy from Atalanta, interrupting his experience at Bologna.

The 22-year-old Ghana international came up through the Hellas Verona youth academy and was sold to Cagliari for €4m in 2023.

He made the move a year later to Atalanta for almost double that fee, but was then loaned to Bologna with an option to buy at the end of the season for a total €11.5m.

Following just four competitive appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia for only 112 minutes of football, it was decided by interrupt the loan experience at Bologna.

Instead, Sulemana is returning to Sardinia, and today signed the agreement on loan with an option to buy in June 2026.

In his first spell with the Cagliari jersey, the Ghanaian played 24 games, scoring two goals to help them secure their Serie A status.
