The hosts will be without skipper Ethan Ampadu after he was booked for handball in the 0-0 stalemate at Liverpool.

A fifth caution of the campaign results in a one-match suspension for the midfielder. Centre-back Joe Rodon also looks set to miss out, after injuring his ankle in the 1-1 draw away to Sunderland. 

Sean Longstaff is battling to return soon, as is Daniel James, who is unlikely to feature against his former club.

Daniel Farke hopes Sebastian Bornauw and Ilia Gruev will be available.

“Just cramps,” he said of their withdrawal on Merseyside. “We will see. There are some late decisions for Sunday, the earliest possible kick-off. We will find both solutions and I hope both are available.”
