Wayne Rooney has been spotted looking completely unrecognisable after transforming into Mrs Doubtfire during a theatre visit in London.

The 39-year-old tried on the iconic character’s mask and wig backstage at the Shaftesbury Theatre, channelling the beloved Robin Williams role.

Theatre actors looked on amused as Rooney donned the face prosthetic and wig.

The football star fully embraced the character, delivering the memorable line “Hello my dear” whilst wearing the costume.

Rooney and Coleen have one of football’s most enduring relationships, having been together since they were both 16 years old.

The couple are parents to four sons: Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, 8, and Cass, 6.

Their theatre outing comes in the wake of Rooney’s recent managerial setback at Plymouth Argyle.

The former Manchester United striker was dismissed from his role as manager in December following a disappointing run of results.

His departure came as the Championship side found themselves embroiled in a relegation battle.

The sacking marked another challenging chapter in Rooney’s managerial career, with Plymouth’s poor form ultimately leading to his exit.
