Why Mount is a manager’s dream
Bardsley hopes Mount will continue to impress in the coming weeks, as United will be forced to cope without Amad, Noussair Mazraoui and Bryan Mbeumo.
The trio are departing for the Africa Cup of Nations soon and will be missed, but it’s a chance to step up according to the former Burnley and Sunderland man.
“It’s disappointing it’s falling when it’s falling,” he added.
“They’ve been outstanding this season, Amad for the last two, but Mbeumo has been a breath of fresh air. I’d say he’s probably been our best player so far so he’s going to be a huge miss.
“The fringe players will be so important, because of how valuable [they] have been.”
